Job summary

Loomis in Hayward, CA is seeking an Armored Driver Guard Lead to supervise a team driving secure routes for cash and valuables. You will assist supervisors and the Operations Manager in daily transportation duties and lead the crew on safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong time management, leadership, and clear communication to ensure accurate handling of consignments and smooth operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• At least a 3-year driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate via USDOT-approved medical examiners.
• A valid firearm permit or ability to pass applicable firearms requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drive automatic and/or standard shift vehicles on designated routes, with 30 customer stops daily.
• Service ATM machines on a set schedule, including resupply, retrieval, balancing.
• Pickup/deliver customer changes and deposits, carrying weights up to several hundred pounds.
• Load/unload cargo of coins and bags, lifting up to 50 pounds per item.
• Count items, record amounts and serial numbers, sign receipts and manifests, sort cargo by route.
• Other duties assigned.

Job Overview:

As an Armored Driver Guard Lead, you work with your team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables. This position serves as a team leader and assists Operation Supervisors and the Operation Manager with the daily operations of the Transportation Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drivi ngautomaticand/orstandardshiftvehiclesfrom8,000 to36,000pounds aminimumof 4hoursper day, 5days per week,inaccordance with a designated route,makingstopsat aminimum of30customerlocations.
• Servici ng ATM machines on a set schedule, including resupplying, replenishing, retrieving deposits, and monetarily balancing the machine.
• Picki ng up/delivering customer change orders/deposits, carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by hand or up to several hundred pounds by cart, a minimum of 30 stops per day for a minimum of 4-5 hours, 5 days per week.
• Lo ading/unloadingvehiclecargoconsisting ofmultiple bagsandboxesofcoins, weighing asmuchas 50pounds peritem,5-6daysper week.
• Co untingitems,recordingamountsandserialnumbers, signinganddatingreceiptsand manifests,and sorting individualcargoitems by route.
• Other duties assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age.
• At least a 3-year driving record.

Essential Functions & Working Conditions:

• Full-time schedule potentially consisting of an average of 40 to 50 hours/week, with a minimum of 5 days during a 6-day period. Occasional weekend work
• Approximately 90-95 percent of work is performed in air-conditioned vehicles within individual compartments (front and rear)

*As part of the qualification process for the Armored Driver Guard Lead position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires the successful completion of testing in the areas below.*

Lift:

• 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)

Lift-Carry:

• 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)
• 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
• 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)

Push-Pull:

• Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)

Climb:

• Ascend / Descend a step with heights of 16. 21 & 24 inches from the floor (10X)
