Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation security officer position seeks a trusted professional to patrol the campus, protecting patients, staff and visitors. Respond to incidents, enforce policies, and serve as an ambassador of the organization.

Responsibilities include patrolling for safety hazards, providing customer service, handling disruptions, supervising access and parking, and completing reports promptly.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in security, healthcare setting.
• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Possess or ability to obtain First aid, CPR, de-escalation, proper restraints techniques, armed guard training and registration, OC or Pepper Spray, Baton, or Taser Certification.
• Completion of CIT Training and Taser Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the entire campus for deterrence of crime and to address safety hazards.
• Provides customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following safety procedures and emergency responses.
• Responds to disruptive behavior, disturbances, combative individuals, incidents, and alarms.
• Enforces hospital policy and local laws to ensure safety on campus.
• Submits necessary reports promptly and professionally.
• Performs escorts related to transfers and securing valuables; non-monetary escorts for safety as requested.
• Controls all parking on the property, emphasizing emergency parking areas.
• Conducts regular and random patrols and completes assigned goals.
