GetHired, Inc. seeks a vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to help maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors. The role emphasizes professional conduct, incident prevention, and timely reporting of observations.

The position is based in Oberlin, OH, with duties performed in person. Shifts include day/evening, on-call, and weekends as needed, with a compensation structure of $18 per hour unarmed and $25 per hour armed.

Formación

• Security: 1 year required, 2-3 years preferred.
• Customer service: 1 year required.
• Military or law enforcement: 1 year preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Secure facility and property through observation and inspections; monitor surveillance equipment; monitor access control points; permit or deny entry to premises.
• Alert help by sounding facility alarms.
• Prevent losses and damage; report irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain trespassers.
• Control traffic by directing drivers.
• Write reports and maintain activity log; record observations, information, and surveillance activity; interview witnesses.
• Ensure safety and security of the facility and personnel through access control and screening and divesting procedures.
• De-escalate volatile situations and protect the vulnerable; contribute to a safe work environment.

General Duties:

• Secure facility and property through observation and inspections; monitor surveillance equipment; monitor access control points; permit or deny entry to premises.
• Alert help by sounding facility alarms.
• Prevent losses and damage; report irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain trespassers.
• Control traffic by directing drivers.
• Write reports and maintain activity log; record observations, information, and surveillance activity; interview witnesses.
• Ensure safety and security of the facility and personnel through access control and screening and divesting procedures
• Conduct self in professional manner; lend credibility to client site; be courteous and uplifting; bring people together by being neutral and understanding of people from diverse background.
• Comply with all legal requirements.
• Contributes to team synergy by communicating, deconflicting, sharing ideas, and complementing efforts.
• De-escalate volatile situations; Protect the most vulnerable from threats (physical and non-physical); Contribute to safe and secure work environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay:

$18.00 per hour (unarmed); $25.00 per hour (armed)

Expected hours:

8 – 29 per week

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• OPOTA Certificate (Required for armed applicants)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check

Ability to Commute:

• Oberlin, OH (required)

OR Ability to Relocate:

• Oberlin, OH: Relocate before starting work

Work Location: In person

This position is based out of Oberlin, OH and will report to Sahara Global Security personnel located at our Akron Field Office (AFO).
