Job summary

Ace Retail Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee overall store operations and help achieve company goals. You will lead customer service, staff supervision, and daily store tasks in a fast-paced, value-driven environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, training, assisting with district projects, and upholding standards across all areas. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills to support the GM and Store Support Center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to compute ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs
• Ability to work independently
• Flexible work schedule
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Provide positive representation of Ace Retail Group to customers.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store; thank them when leaving.
• Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates.
• Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly and courteously.
• Resolve customer issues with Ace Retail Group’s best interest in mind.
• Maintain strong product and store layout knowledge.
• Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
• Supervise general operations of the store.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Assist with Store Support Center program implementation.
• Ensure Loss Prevention, Safety, and Audit success.
• Partner with the General Manager on store operations.
• Participate in weekly management meetings.
• Communicate issues to Store Support Center with GM approval.
• Assist with district projects from the District Manager.
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
• Ensure price changes and labels are accurate and timely.
• Oversee associate training, audits, and reporting.
• Manage preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor competitor activity.
