Job summary

The Lakefront Management Authority seeks an ARFF fireman to respond to diverse emergencies across the levee district. Qualifications

• At least 1 year of fire prevention or fire suppression experience.
• Military service in any capacity with 6 months firefighting experience permitted.

Responsibilities

• Remain available during tour of duty to respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate with the air traffic control tower for incident response.
• Monitor multiple radio frequencies and alarm systems; initiate proper emergency response.
• Operate firefighting vehicles and deploy equipment at incidents within a limited area.
• Provide first aid and basic life support per EMS protocols as needed.
