Job summary

SeaWorld in San Antonio operates Aquatica Waterpark and seeks a duty manager-level leader to oversee operations, safety, and staff training.

You will open/close the park, supervise seasonal crew, enforce safety standards, audit attractions, and manage inventory while ensuring top-tier guest service and adherence to SEA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• At least 1 year of waterpark leadership experience or equivalent.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR, and Standard First Aid certifications.
• Lifeguard Training Instructor and/or WSI preferred.
• Strong classroom training ability.
• Proficient in basic to moderate math and computer skills, including MS Office.
• Excellent spoken and written English with professional communication.
• Demonstrated safety record and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of waterpark policies, PPE, lifting techniques, and unsafe condition reporting.
• Able to model and enforce SEA Grooming Guidelines.
• Able to stand, walk, and work in extended periods of extreme weather.
• Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Complete training programs and certifications within established timelines.
• Support SeaWorld’s Culture and ACE Values.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality standards while enforcing ARC and SEA safety standards.
• Supervise seasonal and part-time aquatic personnel on proper waterpark operations.
• Perform water-safety-related duties as assigned.
• Oversee one or more outlets within the Aquatica Waterpark division.
• Allocate labor and ensure compliance with posted schedules.
• Educate Ambassadors on time management and Sea Port App.
• Conduct attraction audits for SOP compliance.
• Manage in-park inventory and submit warehouse order requests as needed.
• Participate in special projects and company-wide events for Aquatica and SeaWorld.
• Proactively coach and reward desired positive behaviors.

Job description

• Perform duty manager responsibilities for assigned areas

• Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere supporting Ambassador performance and Guest service
• Ensure Ambassadors are trained and prepared for emergency situations
• Ensure emergencies are reported immediately to senior leadership
• Address Ambassador and guest incidents and injuries promptly and professionally
• Allocate labor and ensure compliance with posted schedules
• Educate Ambassadors on time management and proper use of the Sea Port App
• Conduct attraction audits for compliance with SeaWorld and Aquatica SOPs
• Manage in-park inventory and submit warehouse order requests as needed
• Participate in special projects and company-wide events for Aquatica and SeaWorld
• Perform supervisory and cleaning duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
• Minimum One (1) year waterpark leadership experience or equivalent external experience
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR, and Standard First Aid
• Lifeguard Training Instructor and/or WSI preferred
• Strong training background in a classroom setting
• Basic to moderate math and computer skills, including knowledge of MS software
• Proficiency in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude, excellent customer service, and proven safety track record
• Knowledge of waterpark policies and procedures, personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, and reporting unsafe conditions
• Ability to model and enforce SEA Grooming Guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods in extreme weather conditions
• Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Successfully complete additional company and department training requirements, tests, and certifications within established timelines
