Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking an Area Supervisor in Lexington, KY to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment, ensuring safety and timely completion. The role requires strong leadership to manage daily activities and progress, while maintaining clear communication with workers, contractors, vendors, and customers.

The position requires supervisory experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must have prior supervisory experience.
• At least 1 year of project management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and/or repair of telecommunications equipment to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety in completion.
• Supervise day-to-day activities and project progress; guide project execution and ensure compliance with deliverables.
• Ensure excellent communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to assist in an assigned area, department, or project.
• Identify and address project issues and risks; help develop response plans to resolve them.
• Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues.
• Implement and maintain processes to support task completion in the area, department, or project.

Our Area Supervisor shall be responsible for oversight of one or more aerial and/or underground telecommunication construction projects; responsible for ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of a customer's telecommunications equipment is completed safely, timely, and accurately. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines/poles, and various other telecommunications construction equipment, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

What you’ll need

• You will have prior supervisory experience

• You will have a High School Diploma or equivalent

• You may have an Associate's degree, preferably in a related industry, or advanced training in the field

• You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs

• You may have 1 or more years of project management experience including planning, organizing and coordinating tasks

• You are authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
