Job description

Location: Must reside in Atlanta GA, or Charlotte NC

About our team:

We are a dynamic, dedicated team that provides management and support for a global guarding services account that spans across 30+ countries. Our client is an industry-leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class solutions through our teams made up of Security Operations, Business Operations, Operations Support, Threat and Incident Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Human Resources. As part of this team, you will be part of our leadership team and work alongside a group of professionals that are committed to excellence and innovation.

About the role:

The Area Security Manager (ASM) works closely with the Regional Security Manager (RSM) to drive the execution of regional physical security programs across geographically dispersed datacenter environments. Acting as an extension of regional leadership, the ASM supports site teams, aligns client security resources, and helps ensure the consistent protection of personnel, facilities, and critical information. This role partners with the RSM to implement regional initiatives, standardize processes across datacenters, and support regional compliance initiatives, including site assurance reviews and audit preparation. This post also assists in leading cross-functional teams of clients and vendors, addresses site-level performance gaps, and helps ensure alignment between daily security operations and broader regional goals - playing a key role in strengthening operational consistency and supporting leadership continuity across the region.

What you'll do:

In this role, you will serve as a key operational partner to the Regional Security Manager (RSM), helping drive the execution of regional physical security priorities across multiple datacenters. Acting as an extension of regional leadership, you collaborate with peer leaders and site teams to assess operational effectiveness, identify performance gaps, implement corrective actions, and standardize best practices that strengthen consistency across the region. In the absence of senior leadership, this position triages escalations related to physical security or critical site events to ensure timely communication and coordinated incident response. You will also lead the implementation of security operations at new or evolving sites, support strategic initiatives that improve processes and manage risk, reinforce safety through training and investigations, and partner with stakeholders to support audits, compliance activities, stakeholder reporting, and the ongoing development of procedural documentation.

What you need to apply:

We are seeking a mid-level professional with a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the security industry, including five years of management experience supporting complex operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational mindset, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage cross functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects in dynamic, high-pressure environments. This position involves travel (approximately 75% of the time), so a passion for travel (and a valid passport) is essential. This role may also work nights and weekends to support high-priority events and off-hours incidents. All applicants to this role must have reliable means of communication, reliable means of transportation (public or private) to get to/from work, the legal right to work in the country where the position is located, and the ability to speak, read and write in English proficiently.

What you'll get:

We offer more than just a job; we offer the chance to be part of a collaborative and supportive team where your contributions are valued and your growth matters. In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic environment while supporting a prestigious multinational client account. You will gain exposure to global operations and cross-regional collaboration, and you will have access to continuous learning, training programs, and career development opportunities designed to help you succeed.

The extra stuff:

This position requires-with or without reasonable accommodation the physical and mental ability to perform all essential job functions effectively. This includes maintaining composure under pressure while interacting with clients, authorities, executives, and staff; working independently without direct supervision; and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The role involves regular use of a computer and keyboard, frequent lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity for both near and far distances, as well as the ability to adjust focus, is required. The position may involve handling sensitive or confidential information and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet operational demands.
