Job summary

Washington Nationals are seeking an Area Scout - Venezuela to identify and evaluate top baseball talent within Venezuela. You will support building a strong, competitive team through comprehensive player assessments and recommendations.

Responsibilities include overseeing coverage in the region, maintaining trainer relationships, executing evaluations, assisting with tryouts, and collaborating on cross-territory efforts with data-driven evaluation and signing support.

• Assist with the signing process for newly acquired players.
• Attend international scouting events as directed by the VZ Crosschecker.
• Evaluate player makeup through player visits and third-party sources.
• Manage expenses in compliance with department policies.
• Complete special assignment coverage as assigned by leadership.
• Support data collection process with Video Tech Scouts.
