Job summary

Neuronetics, Inc. in California seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive NeuroStar capital systems within outpatient psychiatry. You will educate physicians on TMS technology, drive new provider acquisition, and meet aggressive sales quotas across a defined territory.

You will coordinate with the Practice Development Manager for post-sale support, reimbursement, and training, while maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and hospital networks. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Life Sciences or Business or related field.
  • 2+ years B2B sales, with 5-7 years selling capital medical devices in a hospital setting.
  • Residence within the geography or close proximity; valid driver's license.
  • Highly competitive with a top 10% track record in prior roles.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales goals and quotas for NeuroStar capital systems.
  • Identify and develop new Neurostar providers within the territory.
  • Target BHC's, large physician networks, and local psychiatric hospitals.
  • Participate in and complete the sales representative training program.
  • Educate physicians about clinical trial results, features, and benefits.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders and key opinion leaders.

Position Overview:

Our Area Sales Manager (ASM) provides an office-based, outpatient treatment option to psychiatrists for the treatment of major depression, an enormous public health problem.In this role as an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for educating and selling to physicians that treat patients with major depressive disorder about our unique TMS technology, our competitive advantage, and changing the current paradigm for the treatment of major depression.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales goals and quotas for NeuroStar capital systems.
  • Identify and develop new Neurostar providers within specific territory.
  • Properly target BHC's, large physician in network practices and local psychiatric hospitals in coordination with SAM's.
  • Participate and excel in the Neuronetics sales representative training program.
  • Educate physicians and influential staff about the clinical trial results and device features and benefits.
  • Establish and develop relationships with thought leaders and key opinion leaders.
  • Manage account success after the sale partnering with the Practice Development Manager (PDM) to provide:
    • practice development support.
    • follow-up training as needed.
    • reimbursement support.
    • patient education materials.
    • Share input and ideas with home office staff to assist in decision-making and help set the future direction of the marketing and sales activities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with interest in traditional selling requirements focused on presenting financial value proposition and product differentiation.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a very knowledgeable customer base.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM).
  • Self- starter and motivated to identify and close sales opportunities.
  • Strong customer service aptitude.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Life Sciences or Business or related field.
  • Two (2) years+ of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, with 5-7 years of successful experience selling capital medical devices in a hospital setting.
  • Highly competitive with a consistent track record of top 10% performance in previous positions.
  • Residence within current geography or close proximity of the territory is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience selling disruptive new technology in hospitals and/or large office environments.
  • Knowledge of selling a system that contains capital equipment with a disposable component.
  • Experience working in the Neuroscience and/or Psychiatry space.
  • Contract negotiation on product offering.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing/Sitting -25-50%
  • Walking/Bending/Stooping -25%-50%
  • Lifting Requirement - ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Travel by air, rail, auto -required up to 50% of the time
