Job summary

Google Fort Wayne location seeks a seasoned logistics leader to optimize daily operations, manage Third-Party Logistics partners, and drive continuous process improvements across data centers and warehouses.

Responsibilities include KPI management, budgeting, and coordinating with stakeholders to shorten delivery cycles while scaling the business and safeguarding continuity. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business, logistics, operations, engineering, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain environments managing vendors or Third-Party Logistics groups.
  • 5 years in a customer or client-facing role supporting logistics operations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience using data analysis to drive decision making.
  • 10 years of experience in managing vendor and outsourced providers.
  • 10 years of experience in scaled and supplier operations and project management.
  • 10 years of experience building relationships with stakeholders or clients.
  • Knowledge of SQL, analytics and Operations Six Sigma certification (or other relevant operations coursework).

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day logistics operations management and manage Third-Party Logistics vendor operating warehouse and data centers and ensure that they perform to the aligned Service Level Agreements, ensuring business continuity.
  • Collaborate strategically and participate in Program Management activities.
  • Manage metrics for key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes and improvements.
  • Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives. Take ownership of quarterly/annual budgeting, invoice control, and capital improvement projects within your locations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to reduce end-to-end delivery cycle times.
  • Engage with Google stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities and joint opportunities to scale the business, delivering on joint performance goals.
  • Drive continuous opportunity initiatives to address obstacles for both forward and reverse material flows into and out of data centers/warehouses.

About the job

In this role, you will be the leader of how Google optimizes daily logistics processes while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement recommendations, managing the implementation of changes within operations, standardizing user documentation, creating processes that motivate action, and interacting with all partner teams. You will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for NASA Google Cloud Logistics (GCL), analyze operational impacts to inform improvements, work with key stakeholders, motivate innovation within the operational teams, and create presentations or documents for the leadership team highlighting operational performance and improvements.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. US: $164000 - $240000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
