Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking an Area Manager to lead daily operations in a fulfillment center, coaching hourly associates and driving KPI performance. You will analyze metrics, remove obstacles, and work with peers to boost efficiency while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, data-driven decision making, and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment at our Fort Worth facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year of supervisory experience, or a Bachelor's in Business/Logistics with related Walmart Logistics experience.
• Experience supervising associates and leading teams in a fulfillment or logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and training to hourly associates and manage workload to meet KPIs.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective action to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with other area managers to improve efficiency.
• Maintain safety and ensure policy training across the team.
• Participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and development of staff.

Area Manager is an entry-level operational leadership role within our fulfillment center that thinks strategically and leads phenomenally to remove obstacles for their team, inspiring them to work with passion. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of a specific area within our fulfillment center to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment for our members.

What You’ll Do… Responsibilities…

• Provide coaching and training to hourly associates by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback to achieve operational KPIs.
• Continuously monitor and analyze operational KPI metrics while implementing appropriate corrective action to ensure member orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other area managers to drive efficiency and productivity within the fulfillment center.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by ensuring associates are properly trained on company policies, standards and procedures.
• Participate in company initiatives and programs to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve member satisfaction.
• Identify training and development needs while participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of hourly associates.
• Support hourly associates with internal career growth through mentoring, professional development, and stretch assignments.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,500.00 - $98,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year's supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year's Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years' Walmart Logistics experience OR 2 years' supervisory experience.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
