OnTrac is seeking an Area Manager in Dallas, TX to oversee sort activities and volume in an assigned area. You will manage a team, drive improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operations at the facility onsite.

The role requires 2+ years in logistics with leadership experience, strong data and Excel skills, and clear communication. Competitive pay includes a base range of $54,400–$68,000 with growth up to $81,600 over time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of logistics/3PL experience with at least 1 year in leadership.
• Ability to summarize data and present answers clearly.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to give constructive feedback.
• Experience hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and conducting evaluations.

Responsibilities

Location: 802 E. Centre Park Blvd. DeSoto, TX 75115. This position is performedonsiteat one of the Company’s operational facilities, unless otherwise specified in the job posting.

Shift(s): Wednesday - Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is$54,400 - $68,000, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of$54,400 - $81,600. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

As an Area Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves:

• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Your Mission in Motion:

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
