Job summary

ABM Industries in Salt Lake City is seeking an Area Manager to lead assigned buildings and oversee hourly staff, scheduling, and service quality. You will ensure cost-effective delivery of custodial services, maintain client communications, and drive operational performance.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules while upholding ABM's standards and safety guidelines.

• Evaluate and justify supplies, equipment, and purchases as needed.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.
• Establish custodial work standards and flow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and in orderly condition.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Area Manager will manage assigned buildings, and the hourly workers assigned to each building. Specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all personnel, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, overtime control, employee performance appraisals, troubleshooting/problem solving, orientation, training of custodians and support personnel, customer relations, and special project work as requested. This individual will also ensure that all managed services are being provided in a proper a cost-effective manner
