Job summary

Amrize seeks an Area Manager to drive growth in the decking, waterproofing and flooring market. You will build relationships with contractors, dealers, and building owners to expand fluid-applied coating sales and meet regional sales goals.

You will lead sales initiatives, develop territory plans, and travel to client sites and trade shows while maintaining high safety standards and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in decking, waterproofing and flooring sales.
• Proven ability to grow business and increase sales.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-service focus.
• Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities with diverse clients.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of time.

Responsibilities

• Represent Gaco decking, waterproofing and flooring products to architects, engineers, building owners, distributors, and contractors.
• Manage the sales process, develop relationships, respond to customer needs, and close sales.
• Generate and follow up on new leads.
• Document leads and follow up; develop territory business & marketing plans.
• Meet or exceed annual sales and gross profit targets.
• Establish marketing needs and creatively use presentations and sales tools.
• Travel frequently and represent the company professionally at events.
• Perform on-site training events
• Represent at local and regional trade shows
• Manage territory sales budget
• Serve as subject matter expert and expand product knowledge
• Promote health, safety and environmental policies across work environments.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a confident, motivated sales professional to join our team as an DWP Area Manager. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the independence to drive growth and make an impact by expanding fluid-applied coating sales within the commercial decking, waterproofing and flooring market. You’ll leverage your expertise to build relationships, manage a thriving customer base, and proactively secure new opportunities. By using value-added, solution-based selling, you’ll collaborate with contractors, dealers, and building owners to deliver exceptional results and help achieve Region and Division sales goals.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• The Area Manager is responsible for representing Gaco decking, waterproofing & flooring products to architects, engineers, building owners, distributors, and contractors.
• Manage ongoing sales process, develops relationships, responds to, and anticipates customer needs, providing customer service; ability to close sales.
• Generate and follow up on new customer leads.
• Document all leads and follow up contact. Develop and execute a smart, well-thought-out business and marketing plans for territory.
• Meet or exceed annual sales and gross profit targets.
• Establish marketing needs effectively and creatively use presentations and other sales tools
• Available to travel frequently and represent the company in a professional manner
• Perform professional on-site training events
• Represent Gaco at local and regional trade shows
• Manage the territory sales budget
• Serve as subject matter expert, expanding product knowledge and developing knowledge of competitive products and features.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Business or related field or a minimum of 5 years of decking, waterproofing & flooring material
• Strong track record in building business and increasing sales
• Must possess excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus
• Ability to professionally present information and connect with a variety of customers and industry professionals
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both verbal and written communication
• Strong technical skills, including MS Office suite
• Must be highly motivated and have a demonstrable successful sales record
• Must be able to travel 75% of time

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
