Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks an Operations Management Area Director to oversee 4 Residential PDs across sites in Western PA, with travel.

The role offers $70,000–$75,000 annually + bonus, guiding operations and financial performance to support individuals served. This full-time position includes benefits and growth opportunities within Sevita’s network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years of management experience in human services.
• Master’s degree or state-required education may be required.
• State licensure requirements may apply.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership, and supervision of staff at the program site to carry out operations and ensure quality services.
• Responsible for the financial performance of the area, review financial statements, oversee purchasing, assure billing compliance, and documentation.
• Implement area core growth strategy to increase census, maximize utilization and occupancy percentages, and assist with new start development.
• Maintain and foster relations with case managers and referral agents; participate in building relationships with local legislators and government officials; lobby on behalf of individuals served.
• Implement area strategies to maintain and foster relations with individuals served, mentors, families, and guardians.

Operations Management Area Director

This is for all IDD Community Service Residences – We have over 13 sites in a large area (Between West moreland, Allegheny, and Washington Counties). There is some travel. You would oversee 4 Residential PDs.

$70, 000 - $75,000 salaried + bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three to six years of related experience with significant management experience in the human services industry
• Master’s degree in Human Services, other education and experience as required by state
• Licensure as required by state
• Strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships
