Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Colorado is seeking an Area Director to lead operations and growth across designated markets. You will shape strategy, allocate resources, and drive market share by coordinating clinics, partnerships and initiatives within the care pathway.

You will work with sales, marketing, finance and clinical teams, supervise Area Clinic Managers, set annual plans, monitor progress, and report results to the Regional VP, ensuring patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading teams and operations to drive market share and revenue gains.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record.
  • 8 years of clinician experience preferred (excludes residency).
  • 5 years of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to assigned market(s) overseeing growth strategy and activities.
  • Direct and collaborate with Area Clinic Managers to execute growth plans.
  • Establish annual and strategic business plans.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on market strategies and performance results.
  • Accountable to Regional VP to deliver growth and meet budgets.
  • Analyze growth metrics and optimize market opportunities with data-driven decisions.
  • Lead regular growth meetings and coordinate cross-functional partners.
  • Manage market budgets with finance and monitor expenses against plan.
  • Maintain market knowledge and competitive insight to achieve objectives.
  • Hold managers accountable for results supporting growth.

The Area Director is the leader of all operations that serve a specific market, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President. Their responsibility is to organize, and lead their teams to be an integrated part of the care pathway for the patients we hope to serve, making Hanger Clinic critical to healthcare institutions and other healthcare providers who care for these patients as well. The Area Director will lead the strategy that determines organizational needs, investments and team focus that will result in capturing market share and growth of the available market they serve. The Area Director will develop an understanding of the specific market and its segments, developing the strategy to capture share through initiatives such as – product and service offerings, clinic locations and start-ups, acquisition targets, strategic hires, hospital relationships, and other initiatives required to successfully grow our business in that market. The Area Director will be supported by sales, marketing, managed markets and other shared services that will be accountable to their success. The Area Director will be responsible for influencing and managing in a matrix organizational structure. Maintains effective communication throughout the organization.

Your Impact
  • Provides leadership to the assigned market(s) overseeing the growth strategy and activities
  • Directs and collaborates Area Clinic Manager, and Clinic Manager to develop and execute the growth strategy and monitors progress towards the goals adjusting the strategy as necessary
  • Establishes annual and strategic business plans
  • Collaborates with executive leadership on strategies and performance results of the assigned market(s)
  • Accountable to the Regional Vice President to deliver growth and achieve/exceed our regional budgets
  • Reviews and analyzes growth metrics and operational results, uses data to anticipate and project growth opportunitiesIdentifies opportunities for improvement in the market(s), designs and implements strategy, goals, and identifies and assess resources (talent, capabilities, and technology) to achieve the goals
  • Schedules and directs regular growth meetings and events to share information, set and revise goals, and increase communication and championing collaboration.
  • Collaborates and partners with finance and operations to prepare and implement market wide budgets and monitors and manages expenses to the budget
  • Maintains knowledge of market(s), competition, and best practices/trends to achieve the market(s) objectives
  • Holds Business Development Managers accountable for results to support the market(s) growth strategy
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or
  • Master’s or Master’s in Business Administration or
  • Extensive experience leading teams and operations in achievement of market share and revenue gains.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • 8 years of clinician experience preferred (excludes residency).
  • 5 years of management experience preferred.

  • Capable of working at the C-suite level in healthcare institutions, developing partnerships with healthcare institutions and contracting opportunities based on the opportunities in the market.
  • (Or) Capable of working at the C-Suite level of healthcare institutions
  • Able to develop and execute contractual opportunities with healthcare institutions and local IDN’s
  • Capable of organizing teams based on the needs, opportunities and segments the market presents

Pay range of $163,200.00- $170,000.00/yearly + bonus + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
