Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Counter Manager to lead the branch’s sales, administration, and operations, driving efficient budgeting, inventory control, and profit growth while expanding market share.

You will supervise inside and counter staff, manage quotations and invoicing, hire and train team members, and cultivate strong relationships with customers and vendors to deliver outstanding service and results.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Proven supervisory and training experience is required.
• Solid math, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the sales activities of inside and counter personnel.
• Supervise branch operations personnel and manage quotations and invoicing.
• Develop annual plans and budgets for the branch and control inventory.
• Interview, hire, and train staff; provide information to Operations Manager.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors; ensure high service levels.

Summary

A Counter Manager for Capital Electric is responsible for managing every aspect of the branch functions in sales, administration, and operations while exhibiting efficiency in budgeting, inventory control, profit maximization, customer satisfaction, and growth in market share.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the sales activities of inside and counter personnel
• Supervise and manage all activities of the branch operations personnel
• Handle most quotations and review the billings of invoices
• Develop annual plans and budgets for branch
• Control and monitor inventory level
• Interview and hire to fill open positions
• Train new and current employees for certain positions
• Provide Operations Manager with information pertaining to planning, purchasing, people, and product
• Develop and maintain good customer, vendor, and co-worker relationships
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Solve any issues or problems the branch may face
• Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or GED
• 5-7 years industry experience – product, sales, purchasing, project, and/or warehousing
• 2-3 years supervisory/training experience
• Proven leadership and organization skills
• Able to problem solve
• Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic

Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 with bonus potential
