A prestigious research archive in New York is seeking a Metadata and Acquisitions Archivist to enhance metadata records and manage acquisitions workflows. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Library Science and 2-5 years of experience in archival collections management. Responsibilities include creating metadata records, collaborating with library staff, and ensuring the safe handling of archival materials. This hybrid position offers a salary range of $60K to $70K depending on qualifications and experience.

Formación

• 2 to 5 years of experience with care and management of archival collections.
• Able to work in the US (US Citizenship or Green Card Holder).
• Knowledge of archival standards and best practices.
• Experience creating archival metadata.
• Familiarity with archival collection management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Create and enhance metadata records for archival collections.
• Coordinate acquisitions workflows for new materials.
• Collaborate with library and archive staff to maintain data quality.

• Report to the Director of Collections.
