Job summary

C&S Companies is offering an Architecture Internship in Syracuse where you will work alongside experienced architects, engineers, and project managers on real projects that shape communities.

You will gain practical experience in architectural design, BIM modeling with Revit, and construction documentation while contributing to team meetings and design critiques. The program emphasizes mentorship, portfolio-building, and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architecture (minimum Junior standing).
• Working knowledge of Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong design, graphic, and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing conceptual and schematic designs and produce drawings using Revit.
• Support creation of construction documents (plans, elevations, sections, details).
• Maintain organized digital drawing sets and file structures; build 3D models.
• Create renderings and visual presentations for client and internal use.
• Participate in site visits, document existing conditions, and assist with reporting.

What You Will Do

Design & Documentation Support

• Assist in developing conceptual and schematic designs
• Produce and revise drawings using Revit
• Support the creation of construction documents (plans, elevations, sections, and details)
• Maintain organized digital drawing sets and file structures
• Build 3D models to support design development
• Create renderings and visual presentations for client and internal use
• Assist with presentation boards and digital graphics

Research & Code Analysis

• Conduct research on materials, building systems, and sustainability strategies
• Assist with zoning and building code analysis
• Compile data and summaries to support project decisions

Field Work & Site Observation

• Participate in site visits and document existing conditions
• Assist with site measurements, photography, and reporting
• Observe construction progress and understand real‑world application of design
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers
• Participate in team meetings, design critiques, and coordination sessions
• Assist with meeting minutes, action item tracking, and project documentation
• Support organization of project files, specifications, and submittals
