Job summary

The Beck Group is seeking Architecture Interns for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in Austin. This entry-level role offers exposure to design and construction workflows, with mentorship from experienced staff and hands-on opportunities to contribute to design renderings, presentations, and construction documents.

Ideal candidates are students in their fourth or fifth year, with familiarity in Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop, and a strong willingness to learn and collaborate within a team.

Qualifications

• Beck seeks Architectural Interns for the 2023 Summer Internship Program, an entry-level position for current students.
• Under supervision, the candidate will perform routine architectural assignments and use 3D modeling tools.
• Experience with Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop is preferred.
• Students in their fourth or fifth year are preferred.

What you bring to the table

Beck is looking for Architectural Interns to join extraordinary teams across all our offices during the 2023 Summer Internship Program. This is an entry-level internship position in the Architectural career path for current students interested in Architecture. Under general supervision, this candidate will work from the design of others and performs routine architectural assignments. Beck is one of the most advanced users of 3D modeling tools in the design process, so the candidate should be comfortable using SketchUp, Revit and Photoshop.

An individual with an interest in the integrated project delivery method and an interest in being innovative in process improvement and technology will be an ideal candidate for this position.

You also meet the following requirements:

• High school or College/University student
• Students in their fourth or fifth year of College/University preferred
• Revit and SketchUp experience preferred

Physical Demands

Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment; ability to coordinate and participate in client meetings; constantly communicates with project team and related parties; ability to maintain best practices related to architectural design and production; ability to adhere to consistent attendance. May require travel or colocation. Walking frequently around the office or outdoors may be required. Ability to carry large plans or boxes in excess of 10 lbs.
