OverviewThe Project Manager is responsible for management of design phase of assigned Real Estate Projects, including conceptual design development, detailed design development, permitting and other preconstruction/design-related tasks. Ensures brand and prototypical design standards are met while adhering to prescribed schedules and budgets.
Position reports into our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid schedule in office Tuesdsay-Thursday.
Overview of Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end process of design development and permitting for assigned Real Estate Projects
- Consolidate and review of Conceptual Design Documents and Lease Exhibits for conformance to prototype standards and work with third-party architect and Senior Manager Architecture to facilitate approvals
- Manage the development of site-specific Final Design Documents and Specifications (all disciplines) through third-party partners, including review of the same for conformance with Prototype Standards and Specifications
- Manage timelines and Budgets for Design/Permitting Phase of assigned Projects
- Correspond with project stakeholders (Architects/Engineers, Store Planning Team, Construction Managers and Departmental Leadership) as necessary to articulate design details, project status, risks and issues, and other matters as part of a team to deliver exceptional New Store Projects to our Customers
- Assist Senior Manager Architecture with continuous improvement of Prototype Standards and functional processes and partnerships
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience:
- Within the real estate organization of a retailer or similar organization, or
- Within a professional design/architecture firm, with demonstrated experience on retail or similar projects
- Able to manage multiple priorities to adhere to tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively manage third-party professional partner teams and collaborate with internal stakeholder teams to achieve desired results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and BlueBeam Revu (or similar redlining tools); working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required - Ability to communicate with Developers, Real Estate, and Construction personnel through hand sketches, computer-assisted mark-ups or AutoCAD to translate design principles into unique and varied store locations
