Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking a Wood Door Fabricator who will modify architectural grade wood doors to fit hardware per code and design specs. The role involves operating a range of woodworking machinery, inspecting stock and finished pieces, and assisting with field installations of frames, doors, and hardware.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of woodworking experience, a High School Diploma, and the ability to read drawings and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of woodworking experience.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor and troubleshoot fabricating machines.
• Determine product specifications and materials using drawings or work orders.
• Inspect raw wood stock for defects and conformity to specs.
• Adjust machine settings to produce specified cuts.
• Trim wood parts to specifications using hand tools.
• Inspect and stack finished pieces for transport.
• Check finished pieces for dimension accuracy and quality.
• Install and hang frames, doors and hardware in the field as needed.
