Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Architectural Survey Coordinator for a time-limited reconnaissance project in flood-prone communities. You will plan fieldwork, coordinate data collection and processing, and prepare regular status reports for participating agencies.

Funding is for three years through a cooperative agreement with the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, and you will work under limited supervision to advance historic preservation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with professional experience in preservation or related field.
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and evaluating preservation programs.
• Knowledge of federal historic preservation laws and NJ history.
• Familiarity with GIS and field survey methods.
• Ability to use GIS, GPS data collection, and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan survey fieldwork and coordinate data collection and processing.
• Coordinate review of survey results with participating agencies.
• Prepare regular status reports on project progress.
• Assist with statewide historic preservation efforts.
