Job summary

TST Tactical Defense Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architectural Sheet Metal Mechanic in Virginia Beach, VA. This skilled trade position involves fabricating, installing, and maintaining architectural sheet metal systems on commercial projects, requiring strong hands-on experience with various cladding systems and safety practices.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in the field and must reside within the Hampton Roads commuting area. Benefits include health insurance and 401(k) plan with employer match.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial architectural sheet metal or metal wall panel installation.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and remove commercial metal wall panel systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and installation details.
• Assist Foremen with job layout and coordination.

Skills

Strong working knowledge of commercial metal wall panel systems

Ability to recognize and correct safety issues on the jobsite

Proficient with common sheet metal hand tools and power tools

Ability to read tape measures and perform accurate layout and fabrication work

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
