Job summary

GMA Architects, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking an Architectural Project Manager or Architect to join our team.

You will manage architectural projects from preliminary design to construction documents, work with PMs and consultants, and coordinate with clients to ensure code compliance and quality outcomes. The role requires 5–7 years of experience, a degree in architecture, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with 3D modeling/rendering a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5–7 years of architecture experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Revit and AutoCAD experience required; 3D modeling/rendering preferred.
• Licensure not required; GMA supports licensure pursuit.

Responsibilities

• Produce architectural documents for permit submittal as well as construction.
• Develop preliminary designs into construction documents.
• Review project scope with construction project managers.
• Provide site and space planning for construction project managers.
• Prepare presentation drawings (colored site plan and elevations).
• Review and coordinate construction documents content with PM and consultants.
• Review building code, local zoning, and park covenants.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with engineers.
