Carter Architectural Millwork is seeking an experienced door builder to assemble and fabricate custom architectural millwork with precision. You will review shop drawings, plan build sequences, and fabricate components from hardwood, veneers, and laminates while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Strong reading of architectural details, shop math, and attention to detail are essential. This full-time role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experienced cabinetmaker or architectural woodworker with ability to fabricate custom millwork.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Proficient in layout, measurements, and tolerance control.
• Knowledge of wood products, veneers, hardware, adhesives, and assembly methods.
• Detail oriented with a focus on quality and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and production notes to understand design intent and quality requirements.
• Plan build sequence, joinery, tooling, templates, and assembly approach.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and hardware before fabrication.
• Fabricate millwork from hardwood, veneer, plywood, and laminates.
• Assemble components with proper joinery and fastening methods.
• Fit moldings, doors, panels, and hardware to achieve alignment and operation.
• Maintain quality controls and coordinate with production teams.
• Follow safety and housekeeping procedures in the workshop.
