Architectural Lighting Designer - all levels

Tillotson Design Associates is looking for lighting designers of all experience levels at its New York City office. The successful candidates will work on a variety of project types and be involved in the complete design process from schematic design through construction administration. Tasks will include conceptualizing design ideas, CAD and Revit drafting, AGI lighting calculations, 3D Studio and Photoshop renderings, InDesign presentations, physical model construction, lighting mock‑ups, meetings and presentations, fixture specifications, focusing and detailing.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-10 years of experience as an architectural lighting designer
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Theater, or Lighting Design with a basic understanding of architectural lighting
• Sound knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
• MS Office Suite
• Revit/BIM experience required
• Ability to manage multiple project schedules and deadlines
• Be organized, detail‑oriented, and skilled in creative problem solving
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative and team environment
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to communicate in English effectively
