Job summary

DrJ Engineering is seeking an organized individual with strong technical and written communication skills to join our established team. This is a full-time position focused on product certification of innovative, groundbreaking building products. The position requires an understanding of building codes and standards. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ingenuity are a must!

Responsibilities
  • Research building code requirements for product certification.
  • Draft Technical Evaluation Reports (code compliance evaluation reports).
  • Review and summarize test data for product evaluation.
  • Review quality assurance and quality control documentation for completeness.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product testing staff and operations teammates to serve customer needs most efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in continuing education regarding building code content, construction methods, industry trends, and customer products.
Qualifications
Required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • A dedication to effective time management, budget tracking, and prioritization.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of general construction practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or several years of field experience) in construction management, technical communication, engineering, architecture, or a technical field that allows for effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
