Job summary

AIA Miami is looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson/CAD Technician to assist with the preparation of Construction Documents for various commercial and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with the Florida Building Code.

Small Miami-based architectural firm, is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson/CAD Technician to assist with the preparation of Construction Documents for commercial and multifamily projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise architectural drawings under the direction of the Architect.
• Develop Construction Documents from schematic and design development drawings.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and landscape consultants.
• Incorporate review comments and redline markups.
• Assist with permit submittals and responses to plan review comments.
• Maintain drawing organization and quality control throughout project development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience preparing architectural Construction Documents.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects preferred.
• Familiarity with the Florida Building Code and permitting process is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing coordination skills.

Work Arrangement

• Candidate must be available to meet in person in the Miami area at least once per week.
