Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for an Architectural Drafter Intern to support the Architecture & Design team using AutoCAD and Revit under supervision. You will generate Furniture & Commissioning Plans, review submittals, take meeting notes, and update drawings per design team redlines.

Under the Manager of Architecture & Design, you will assist in programming and schematic design, review documents, and prepare presentations.

Qualifications

Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
Current student in a recognized program to include AutoCAD and Revit for construction documents.
Must be in good academic standing and able to work as an Intern.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

Assist with programming and schematic design including site visits and field verifications.
Review construction documents and apply standard drawing formats and annotations.
Prepare design presentations and renderings when needed.
Coordinate with project consultants including external Architecture firms, Civil, Structural and MEP engineers.
Research materials, products, and installation details; review codes and permit processes.
Maintain an organized file system and perform other duties as assigned.
