Job summary

Thomas Weems Architect in Johnson City, TN is seeking an Architectural Drafter to join a collaborative team that pushes beyond programmatic requirements to create meaningful places in the Appalachian Highlands region. You will help produce drawings from concept through construction documents, coordinate with the team, and support project delivery on multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe Creative

Qualifications

• Associates degree in CAD drawing or Bachelors in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience (highly preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, materials, methods and architectural principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop design solutions on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in production and coordination of project drafting and construction detailing.
• Document existing conditions and ensure drawing/documentation standards.
• Review construction submittals and conduct on-site observations as needed.
