Job summary

PulteGroup in Orlando seeks an Architectural Drafter to support opening communities and business plans with accurate, compliant drawings. You will collect information, interpret codes, and prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and related tools.

Ideal candidates have a drafting or architecture-related degree, 1+ years of experience, and strong attention to detail. The role requires collaboration across teams and a fast-paced environment within a top homebuilder.

Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree in Drafting or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction preferred.
Related Functional Experience: Minimum 1+ years Architectural or Construction experience.
Software Skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Design Review Bluebeam, and ACAD preferred. BIM software is a plus.
Understanding of Federal & State codes related to residential product preferred.
Knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes, and plans & specs preferred.
Knowledge of lean, value engineering and costing principles and practices a plus.
Effective communication and organization skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Remains adaptable to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for ensuring all architectural needs to open communities and support the business plans are identified, executed and managed.
Collect necessary information, including code interpretations, for introduction of New Home Design into communities.
Adheres to established QC process.
Responsible for completing scope of work summary for every project.
Manages and coordinates standard plan submittals.
Coordination of plan maintenance for division needs.
Manages and coordinates ARB submittal and approval process.
Perform all related CAD duties.
Ensure development of compliant working drawings within the Division from both internal and external resources.
Provide Architectural Services support as needed, to include but not be limited to:
Draft redline markups and plan revisions in AutoCAD.
Record and track Division’s plan change requests.
Produce all work within the Pulte Drafting Standards and Productivity Tools.
Provide supporting documentation of field walks at various stages of construction.
Create community specific field support documents.
Ensure quality control on all work completed.
Assist in quality control review process for a variety of department deliverables.
