Job summary

The Adkins Association Inc Architects in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Architect/Architectural Designer to contribute to educational, government, and commercial facilities through all design phases. You will join a project team to develop plans and construction documents and support coordination across disciplines.

Candidates bring at least five years of post-education experience, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and strong field and client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of post-education experience in building planning, drawing standards, design, and construction management.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; capable of producing detailed construction drawings and documents.
• Working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report preparation.
• Ability to conduct field investigations, access roofs safely, and observe conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Advanced computer skills (Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings with engineering disciplines and liaise with clients during design.
• Prepare construction documents and manage construction administration, including site visits.
• Conduct field investigations and measurements for accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with project team across educational, government, and commercial facilities.
• Travel to project sites as required.
