Job summary

VCBO Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer II to contribute to the design and delivery of architectural projects from our Utah office. This role is ideal for a developing professional with experience in design, documentation, and project coordination.

You’ll work across multiple project phases, gain increasing ownership of responsibilities, and collaborate with seasoned architects and project leaders while growing your technical and design expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related field
• 3–7 years of professional architectural experience
• Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Working knowledge of building codes and construction documentation

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, documentation, and coordination across project phases
• Prepare drawings and models for schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
• Apply knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction methods to project work
• Coordinate with internal team members and consultants on project components
• Support the preparation of client presentations, including graphics, renderings, and diagrams
• Assist with construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and addenda
• Maintain quality, organization, and consistency in project deliverables
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members
• Collaborate with project architects and managers to meet project goals, schedules, and deadlines

You’ll contribute across multiple project phases, take increasing ownership of project responsibilities, and work alongside experienced architects and project leaders while continuing to grow your technical and design expertise.
