Job description

Great work starts with a good conversation and a team that’s excited to build something meaningful together.

Cline is an integrated, nationwide design firm bringing architecture, interior design, planning, landscape architecture, land planning, and branding under one roof. We partner with clients to shape places people truly experience—homes, neighborhoods, communities, and workplaces that feel intentional, human, and rooted in purpose.

We’re always looking for curious, collaborative teammates: people who communicate clearly, take pride in craft, and believe the best ideas get better when disciplines work side-by-side. If you’re drawn to thoughtful design, strong relationships, and a culture that supports growth (and celebrates wins along the way), we’d love to connect.

Explore our open roles and apply today—let’s build what’s next, together.

Our Austin office is seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our busy, growing team. We are particularly interested in candidates who feel that they have outgrown their current position and are looking for a higher level of responsibility and independence, and are excited about joining a firm where they are encouraged to grow, both as a Designer and a leader.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, select, and prepare content for CD packages
  • Review schedule for professional services as prepared by their supervisor
  • Gain an understanding of the entire project process, including coordination of documents from SD to CA
  • Gain exposure to design phase activities, e.g., set- and completion of renderings and learning to blend technical and design concepts
  • Work closely with the PA/PM on a project from beginning to end
  • Under supervision may manage small projects from beginning to end, including consultant coordination
  • Understand the roles and consultant types required for a specific project
  • Observe project meetings and develop skills to prepare meeting notes
  • Continue to work towards AXP completion and completing the ARE exam process
  • Perform other duties that may assigned from time to time
What we look for:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with multi-family and mixed-used projects a plus
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Revit experience is required
  • On track to pursue NCARB AXP & Licensure
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills
  • Able to work well in a collaborative office environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and interact effectively with others in the workplace
Benefits
  • We offer a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, supplementary insurance, flexible spending accounts, and 401k with company contribution.
  • In addition, PTO, professional development/continuing education allowance, annual bonuses, and other perks are provided.
