Job summary

The Chicago Architecture Center is seeking an Architectural Content Specialist to serve as the subject matter expert on Chicago architecture, history, and interpretive content. This role leads content development, governance, and strategic application across CAC's tours, exhibitions, education, volunteers, and programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in architecture or related field.
• Five or more years developing architectural or cultural content.
• Experience with volunteers and educators is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in museums or cultural nonprofits preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address needs in tours, exhibits, and programs related to architectural history.
• Serve as primary authority on Chicago architecture and interpretive tour standards.
• Collaborate with Public Programs to develop programs on Chicago's architectural legacy.
• Review content for accuracy and establish content guidelines.
• Help develop interpretive text, labels, and image sourcing for exhibits.
• Support Marketing with accurate architecture content for online databases and social media.
• Assist Executive Leadership with talking points and historical context for media interviews.
