Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking a CAD Technician to support the Architectural Components Group at our Marshfield, MO location. You will create 2D/3D drawings addressing complex installation and product issues using CAD software, translating designs into detailed drawings and performing take-offs for projects from inception through order.

You will develop shop drawings, maintain CAD libraries, and provide drawings to customers under supervision.

Qualifications

Associate degree with emphasis on Design, Architecture or Mechanical field or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
AutoCAD 2D or 3D work experience.
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
Ability to produce 3D drawings.

Responsibilities

Complete shop drawings in 2D and sometimes 3D with minimal modifications to standard suspension systems.
Proactively create and maintain CAD library drawing files.
Create drawings and details for bid documents, installation instructions, brochures, and web-based applications.
Provide drawings and details to customers under supervision and reviewed by management.
Inspect drawings for adherence to drafting standards.
Identify issues with customer drawings and clarify requirements before completing drawings.
Build relationships with internal and external customers including Contractors and Architects.
