Job summary

New England Design & Construction is seeking an Architectural Assistant Designer in Lexington, MA, for full-time on-site work. The role supports design and development from concept through construction documents, including vision boards, fixture/finishes selection, and cost estimation across SD, DD, and CD phases.

A minimum 1 year in residential design is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Gather It, and InDesign/Acrobat is essential, along with strong English

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of residential design experience (2–3 years preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp.
• Experience with Gather It and Adobe InDesign/Acrobat.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Must be able to take direction and work on multiple projects.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
• Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

• Assist design and development of projects from start to finish.
• Prepare vision boards and documentation from existing conditions to construction drawings.
• Assist Lead Designers on fixture and finish selection.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to assemble estimated construction costs in the Schematic Design, Development, and Construction Documentation phases.
