Job summary

Sysmex Corporation in Lincolnshire, IL, USA, is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and deliver cloud and on-premise business solutions in alignment with the enterprise architecture roadmap.

The role collaborates with Architecture, Development, Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security, and business functions to meet requirements and ensure successful delivery. Travel about 10% and a strong focus on architecture strategy and compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing enterprise software solutions.
• 2+ years' experience in project oversight.
• Experience designing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and with integration and middleware technologies.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and reporting and analytics environments.
• Experience working with application developers and agile delivery models.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and guide users and technicians through complex solutions.
• Excellent team player.
• Ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders and end customers, including in demanding situations.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test architecture frameworks for assigned solutions in support of the enterprise application and data roadmap.
• Contribute to architecture strategies and apply them in solution designs so they align to the company's business strategy.
• Participate in research, evaluation, and integration of new solutions; apply SOA principles.
• Perform issue resolution and triage, determine scope/urgency/impact, and drive expeditious remediation.
• Provide input to policies, standards, and guidelines for technology use within the architecture roadmap.
• Transform business requirements into technical specifications and design documents that meet compliance standards.
• Work cross-functionally to recommend solutions meeting business objectives.
• Develop specifications for business systems and services meeting requirements; stay current on tech trends.
• Present designs to Architecture Review Board and ensure cybersecurity compliance and roadmap alignment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Solutions Architect.

The Sysmex Solutions Architect is responsible for the design and delivery of cloud and on-premise business solutions, working within the enterprise architecture roadmap and standards. This position is responsible for delivering solutions that realize the targeted business requirements and benefits.

The Solutions Architect works with stakeholders across Architecture, Development, Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security, and the business functions to meet Sysmex business and customer requirements and ensure successful delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, integrate, and test architecture frameworks for assigned solutions in support of the enterprise application and data roadmap.2. Contribute to architecture strategies (statements of position/direction, principles, reference architectures, etc.) and apply them in solution designs so they align to the company's business strategy.3. Participate in the research, evaluation, and integration of new solutions. Apply service-oriented architecture principles to meet roadmap, data integrity, and availability requirements.4. Perform issue resolution and triage, including determining scope, urgency, and potential impact. Make recommendations and drives solutions that enable expeditious remediation.5. Provide input to the policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of technology within the architecture roadmap.6. Transform business requirements into technical specifications and solution design documents that meet Sysmex documentation and compliance standards.7. Work in a cross-functional environment to recommend solutions that meet business strategy objectives.8. Develop specifications for business systems and services that meet business and customer requirements. Keep current on technology trends in the industry and across the platforms deployed at Sysmex.9. Present solution designs to the Architecture Review Board and incorporate its feedback to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and the architecture roadmap.10. Other duties as assigned.

Travel Percentage: 10%

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $120K-$180K. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive plan, car allowance, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing enterprise software solutions. 3+ years of solution architecture experience preferred.

• 2+ years' experience in project oversight.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Experience designing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and with integration and middleware technologies.

• Experience with enterprise data platforms and reporting and analytics environments.

• Experience working with application developers and agile delivery models.

• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and guide users and technicians through complex solutions.
