What You Will Do

The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for the design and build of the systemsandservicesthat enables Oracletodeliverindustry-leading availability and performanceobjectivesfor Oracle’sSaaS services.The team architects and develops high-availabilityand servicecontinuitysolutionsacrosstheentire stack–infrastructure, database, platform, and applicationservices–and all thedependent components. The engineering innovations enable SaaS servicesto be available to customers without any disruptionseven duringlarge-scale incidents.We arebuilding thenext-genservicecontinuity solutionsin a fast-pace and innovative environmentand looking orarchitectswho candesign anddevelop services that operate at scale. As a Senior Principal Engineer(Architect)you will be responsible for ensuring that our SaaSservices are designed and built with the highest level of availability and resiliency in mind. Youwillcollaboratewithother engineeringteams responsible for architecting, designing, andimplementingSaaS Services and underlying platform ina distributed computing environment.The ideal candidate will be technically strong and must understand large-scale distributedsystems. This role will drive the technicalarchitectureof ourservice continuitysolutions, contribute to the product strategy, and contribute to the developmentof nextgeneration availabilityand resiliencyfeatures for Oracle’sSaaS cloudenvironment.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (Examples: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
  • Understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms
  • Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms
  • Experience and understanding of cloud infrastructure services, regions, and multi-AD designs
  • Good customer & executive communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
