Job summary

Arcadis, the world’s leading design, engineering and consultancy firm, seeks a Principal for Architecture and Urbanism in the Global Business Area Places. Based in the US west region, you will steer performance, client relationships, and team development.

You will lead complex projects, align with GAU strategy, drive growth, efficiency, and governance across geographies, mentoring studio managers and directing talent to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification; fellowship in a professional institution.
• Registered Architect or equivalent preferred.
• 18+ years in a discipline with 10+ years in architecture consultancy.
• Experience leading complex business change solutions.
• Experience managing executive-level relationships.
• Experience leading teams across geographies.
• Experience delivering large-scale, highly complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead accountability for performance (utilization, billability, debtors, etc.) and ensure service quality, delivery excellence and profitable growth.
• Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of senior specialists; recruit and set objectives.
• Develop and implement the business plan and communicate strategy.
• Identify and target clients to drive organic revenue growth.
• Build strong relationships and create successful teams.
• Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand business needs and improve retention.
• Coach and mentor studio managers to ensure governance and client satisfaction.
• Direct talent identification and development programs.
• Direct resource utilization and maintain team structure for optimization.
• Direct risk management and governance compliance in service delivery.
• Maintain understanding of clients and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Foster internal Arcadis relationships to maximize cross-sell opportunities.
• Implement the GAU Division strategy.
