Job summary

LS3P is seeking an Architect to join our Higher Education team in Atlanta. You will contribute to developing design concepts, coordinating disciplines, and producing construction documents while mentoring junior staff.

You will collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions that reflect local culture and the firm’s design standards. Strong Revit skills and a passion for design excellence are required.

• Self-management of design assignments through all project phases.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and procurement processes.
• Experience with delivering design and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Leaders, Project Managers, Architects, and other professionals on active production projects.
• Create visual presentations and communications for client interactions.
• Develop design assignments across all project phases and coordinate drawings across disciplines.
• Support client relationships and contribute to overall project profitability and quality.
• Mentor Emerging Professionals and guide teams through design processes.

We are currently seeking an Architect to join our Higher Education team in our Atlantaoffice. You are passionate about design and devoted to quality. You possess the organizational skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines, a thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes and trends, a demonstrated ability to mentor and manage teams, and foster and nurture Client relationships. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the design process, working closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to bring visionary architectural concepts to life.

A Day in the Life:

• Work side by side in a team environment with our Design Leaders, Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, Urban Planners and Emerging Professionals on active production projects
• Contribute to other design and marketing efforts undertaken by the firm
• Create visual presentations and communications for client interactions
• Discover your areas of interest and work with talented mentors
• Develop design assignments throughout all project phases
• Coordinate architectural drawings across disciplines
• Support communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Play an integral part in overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm’s strategic priorities

Your Strengths as an Architect:

• Technical production skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents
• Proficiency in Revit
• Experience with 3D communication, by hand or graphic software such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Enscape
• Understanding of relevant codes such as state building codes, ANSI 117.1, BOMA
• LEED accreditation or interest in achieving accreditation is preferred
• Understanding of the design and procurement processes
• Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle project challenges
• Capability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with oversight
• Experience with incorporating research in design process

What You Bring To The Table:

• Registered Architect with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university
• 10 years of design experience post licensure is preferred

A cover letter, resume and portfolio demonstrating Revit skills and rendering abilities are required.
