Job summary

Keller, Inc. is seeking an Architect to support our growing team in design and construction. You will assist our Commercial Project Managers through design concepts, present proposals to clients, and help produce construction documentation.

This full-time role requires a licensed architect with a strong communication skill set and Revit experience. We are 100% employee-owned with an ESOP and offer a highly competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture is required.
  • Licensed Architect is required.
  • Minimum 5–7 years in construction preferred.
  • Experience working in Revit is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, subcontractors and management.
  • Familiarity with standard commercial construction practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales/Project Management in acquiring projects for design and construction.
  • Develop architectural plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead programming, schematic design and design development as Architect and direct production of documentation.
  • Assist in exterior finish selections and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Interior Design on spatial design.
  • Evaluate building designs for code compliance.
  • Collaborate on civil design for location, circulation, and landscaping.
  • Communicate with A&E forms and cross-functional teams.
  • Review redlined drawings for compliance and perform code research.

Our Architects are part of the sales process assisting our Commercial Project Managers through the design aspect of the project. Your ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively will help us engage with clients, ensuring their visions come to light! Essential Job Functions{{:}}
  • Assist the Sales/Project Management team in acquiring new customers and related projects for design and construction
  • Develop architectural plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
  • Specifically perform architectural duties of programming, schematic design and design development as the Architect and direct the production of construction documentation by Architectural staff
  • Assist in selecting and specifying exterior finish requirements
  • Collaborate with the Interior Design team for interior material and spatial design
  • Evaluate building designs for compliance with the International Building Code and all referenced codes
  • Collaborate on civil design efforts of building location, circulation, wayfinding, and landscaping
  • Communicate and collaborate with the architectural and construction teams to look for creative and innovative ways to reach the goals for the company
  • Communicate with A&E forms
  • Review redlined drawings for compliance
  • Code research
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture - Required
  • Licensed Architect - Required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in the construction industry - Preferred
  • Experience working in Revit
  • Great with written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers
  • Balance demand and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who is accountable for results
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess knowledge of standard commercial construction practices
