Job Title: AWS Redshift – Technology Architect

Location: Houston, TX

Full Time (Permanent)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience in the Information Technology field.

Preferred

• At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
• At least 2 years of experience on AWS Redshift implementation and must have performed at least 2 large‑scale migrations from relational RDBMS to AWS implementation projects.
• 5+ years of experience in ETL and reporting tools and technologies.
• Extensive experience in Amazon EMR and related big‑data technology stack.
• Informatica 8.x / 9.x upgrade experience will be an added advantage.
• Candidate should have extensive experience in providing AWS‑related architectural solutions by understanding client’s existing architectural tools & technologies.
• Understanding of Business Objects and Tableau reporting tools will be an added advantage.
• Extensive experience in migration planning, organizing and executing large‑scale application/projects.
• Project/account management experience will be an added advantage.
• Extensive experience in understanding the migration challenges and should be in a position to provide solutions without impacting the business and project timeline.
• Candidate should have experience on validating data integration by developing and executing test plans and scenarios including data design, tool design, data extract/transform, networks, and hardware.
• Must have extensive implementation knowledge and experience on performance tuning and optimization on AWS Redshift.
• Enhances information architecture and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; mentoring team members on AWS implementation solutions & approach.
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
• At least 3 years of experience in thought leadership, white papers and leadership/mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams.
