Job summary

INWORKSHOP in New York, NY is seeking a Project Architect / Architectural Designer to lead and support projects from schematic design through construction administration, bringing strong design instincts and hands-on collaboration.

You will produce and coordinate drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD, manage consultants and client communications, and navigate NYC zoning and DOB filings with site visits. An interiors sensibility and willingness to take initiative in a small studio are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of architectural office experience, NYC multifamily/ townhouse or new development preferred.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on Rhino, AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• Professional interiors experience; detached single-family work is a plus.
• Clear communication in speech, writing, and drawings.
• Thrives in a small studio, takes initiative, wears many hats, and helps with printer troubleshooting.

Project Architect / Architectural Designer - INWORKSHOP, New York, NY Full-time · In office

What you'll do

• Lead and support projects through every phase, from schematic design through construction administration


• Produce and coordinate drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD


• Manage consultants, schedules and client communication


• Navigate NYC zoning, DOB filings and site visits


• Bring an interiors sensibility to material, detail and finish decisions

You’ll be a great fit if you

• Have 4+ years of experience in an architecture office, ideally including NYC multifamily, townhouse or new development work


• Have at least 3 years of hands-on Rhino, AutoCAD and Revit experience


• Have professional interiors experience (detached single-family work is a plus)


• Communicate clearly in conversation, in writing and in drawings


• Thrive in a small studio. That means taking initiative, wearing many hats, and occasionally troubleshooting the printer, because the IT department is us.

A plus if you

• Are proficient with 3D modeling software (Rhino)


• In-house visualization skills (Enscape or Vray)


• Are a Registered Architect in New York State, or are actively working toward licensure

Logistics

• This role is in our NYC office full-time, with periodic site visits. Candidates should live within commuting distance of the NYC metro area.
