Job summary

BRPH is seeking an experienced Architect in Denver to drive design development and construction administration on complex projects. You will lead multi-disciplinary coordination, apply code knowledge, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, 8+ years of professional experience, and completion of AXP; proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or BIM 360, Excel and Bluebeam is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Eight years of experience in architecture profession.
  • Completed AXP requirements.
  • Registration as a licensed architect or on a path to licensure within the next year.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced assignments utilizing professional architectural knowledge and abilities. Assignments require independent judgement. More complex projects may be under the supervision of senior architectural staff.
  • Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory oversight on proposed plans for projects.
  • Has sound understanding of codes and standards and can research code issues, present interpretations, and properly apply them consistently.
  • Performs Life Safety analyses and prepares Life Safety Plans.
  • Coordinates and checks own work and instructs, leads, and mentors junior staff to insure documentation quality and timeliness.
  • Provides coordination of all applicable project discipline’s drawings, digital models, and specifications. Provides regular communication and close coordination with teammates in multiple offices.
  • Maintains positive and professional relationships with clients, consultants, colleagues, and contractors through clear and proactive communication.
  • Assists in preparing and following design budgets and marketing proposals.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of construction techniques and constructability.
  • Performs construction administration duties, such as attending construction site meetings, shop drawing review, reviewing RFI’s, and preparing ASI’s per the contract documents.
  • Must be proficient in the use of: Revit with working knowledge of Navisworks and/or BIM 360; Microsoft Windows, Excel, Bluebeam and Word.
  • Has strong architectural design skills and visual literacy.
  • Understands and applies sustainable/green strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining established standards, practices and quality.

Overview

$88,000 - $135,000 USD
