Job summary

Empire Developed Construction is seeking a licensed Architect to contribute to project design and solutions with guidance, while working independently. The role emphasizes independent work, learning, and innovation in design tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling, plus graphic software like Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and InDesign, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Architecture.
• Typically 5–10 years of experience in equivalent quality design firms.
• Experience in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling preferred.
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
• Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
• Knowledge of QA/QC process and building codes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to meet deadlines with expected quality.

Responsibilities

• Modifies or creates implementation documents using standard architectural techniques under general supervision.
• Collaborates on design and technical resolution and coordination for a project portion.
• Assists in preparing client presentations and communicates design intent.
• Supports research of code and zoning requirements.
• May attend on-site visits and client meetings, documenting visits as needed.
• Assists in preparing schedules and reviewing documents and samples.
• Communicates with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to integrate information.
• Provides guidance to entry-level staff as appropriate.
• Participates in team meetings to discuss issues and coordination.
• Fosters a collaborative professional relationship with the project team.
• Travel may be required.

A licensed Architect who contributes and assists in developing project and design solutions to advance respective projects while working independently with guidance. Eager to learn and innovate. Anticipates job expectations while performing design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Modifies or creates implementation documents, applying standard architectural techniques and procedures and according to written and verbal specifications with general supervision
• Collaborates on design and technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project
• Assists in preparing client presentations and presents project design intent
• Supports research of code and zoning requirements
• May attend on-site visits, field reviews and client and/or project meetings and documents these visits as appropriate
• Assists in preparing schedules and reviewing implementation documents and samples as needed
• Communicates with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements and documents as needed
• Provides guidance and direction to entry-level staff as appropriate
• Participates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines
• Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
