Job summary

Beau Clowney Architects in downtown Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced project architect to join our team. We work on high-end residential and select commercial projects, collaborating with clients to provide thoughtful, innovative solutions.

The successful candidate will engage in all phases from concept to construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic studio environment.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in architecture (BS in Architecture, B.Arch or M.Arch); licensure is an asset.
• Ability to engage in owner meetings, discussions, and review board presentations.
• Ability to conceptualize and efficiently produce a thorough set of construction documents.
• Knowledge of building systems, details and coordination with outside consultants.
• Ability to manage/mentor team members.

Beau Clowney Architects, located in downtown Charleston, SC, is searching for an experienced project architect to join our team. We strive to provide thoughtful and sensible designs on a variety of projects located throughout the region and internationally. Our collaborative studio environment allows individuals to work on all aspects of multiple design projects. Working closely with our clients, we provide innovative and unique solutions while creating timeless design. We are seeking positive and inventive individuals to join us that have a passion for all types of design, from architecture to interiors, art, and beyond.

Our work is primarily high-end residential, along with selective commercial and development projects. All applicants must have an eye for detail, an understanding of the construction documentation process, and proficiency in computer drawing/modeling programs (Vectorworks preferred.) Collaborative skills and multi-tasking are also a requirement in our dynamic office environment.

Experienced Architect applicants should have

• Experienced with project architect with an accredited degree (BS in Architecture, B.Arch or M.Arch.) Professional architectural licensure is an asset.
• The ability to engage in owner meetings, discussions, and review board presentations
• The ability to conceptualize and efficiently produce a thorough set of construction documents
