Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Bozeman, MT. The Architect will lead and support architectural design projects from concept through construction documents, coordinating with engineering, planning, and interior design teams to produce integrated solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing drawings, models, and specifications, participating in site analysis and feasibility studies, and ensuring code compliance and quality standards. The role involves regular collaboration with clients and project stakeholders, attending project meetings, assisting with permitting processes, and providing construction administration support such as responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals. The Architect will contribute to project management activities, including schedule coordination, documentation, and helping maintain alignment with client goals, budgets, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, detailed design, and documentation.
• Experience with Integration between architectural work and related disciplines (engineering, planning, interiors) to deliver cohesive project solutions.
• Strong Project Management skills, such as coordination of project phases, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with relevant Software Development or software integration concepts as they apply to design tools, project workflows, or BIM coordination is beneficial.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes, particularly within the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies region.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program; professional licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with a client-focused mindset and commitment to community impact.
• Experience in civic, commercial, educational, healthcare, housing, or community-oriented projects is a plus.
